Gediminas Užubalis takes office as the Chairman of Vilnius Regional Administrative Court
As of 2 February 2023, the Judge of Vilnius Regional Administrative Court Gediminas Užubalis assumed the position of the Chairman of Vilnius Regional Administrative Court, to which he had been appointed for a five-year term of office by the decree of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda of 1 February 2023.
The Judge G. Užubalis has been working at Vilnius Regional Administrative Court since 2018.
G. Užubalis was awarded the Doctor of Social Sciences (Law) degree in 2012 and is a lecturer at the Department of Public Law of the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University.
According to the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania, judges and chairpersons of courts are appointed by the President of the Republic of Lithuania.
